These are the things I remember about living at the Neville Co-Op.
Back in my early college days (Carnegie Mellon, whats good?!) I lived at this shared space community called the Neville Co-Op. Super liberal and diverse, we hands down threw the best parties. Black, white, asian, gay, straight, etc, people from all backgrounds came together every few weeks and went absolutely CRAZY.
There were a few other DJs in the house that played electro, nu-disco, and other dope ass music. It really changed the way I rocked a party for the better as I was able to find new material to blend with my hip-hop background.
So what? Why does this matter?
Well, I wanted to give a little backstory to the 1st track from latest installment of my mix-tape errr EP, YS Radio 4: The Co-Op.
I took some of my favorite tracks and remixed them with my drunk days in mind. The first track of of The Co-Op is a remix of the Diplo & Nicky B banger ‘Express Yourself’ with guest verses from 2 Chainz & the Trippy One, Juicy J, of Three 6 Mafia and now Taylor Gang.
Based on the Cobra Krames & Yamez and with the famous N.O. Bounce (Show Boys – Drag Rap) “Triggerman” sample thrown in for good measure, it’s made for house party shenanigans.
